UN@80: Through young eyes, visions of our shared tomorrow

Interwoven: My journey has never been themed around happiness, nor do I take pleasure in exploiting hardships. However, amidst hardships, there is an abundance of simplicity and tenacity, innocence and vitality. I'm someone who greatly needs motivation and inspiration. I will deliberately take long walks, bearing burdens just like them, treading on the loess and stony ground. I will try to feel that we are breathing the same air. Watching their backs as they move away from me, I think I still possess a certain strength. Regarding hardships and images, what I hope to see is always a warm smile – it reminds us that every piece of labor that is seen and respected is driving the sustainable development of society. These small actions make the connections between humanity and nature, and between people and society, closer, and are also gradually injecting tenacity and hope into the future. /Ben Jide

River Dance of the Heavenly Horse: After the college entrance examination, I came to Xinjiang. In front of me, horses were galloping, running along the river towards the vast land. I launched a drone and used an overhead shot to record this vibrant scene. The sight of them galloping freely makes people realize that protecting the grassland ecology, safeguarding water sources, and maintaining biodiversity are the responsibility of each of us, and also the essential requirement of sustainable development. On this vast land, the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature not only concerns the continuation of the ecosystem but also profoundly reflects the important concept of building a green, safe and shared society – to make this land and its creatures thrive together.
