A Polish Air Force F-16 fighter jet crashed during a rehearsal for an airshow in central Poland on August 28, killing the pilot. The accident involved an aircraft from the 31st Tactical Air Base near Poznan. It was performing a barrel roll aerobatic maneuver when it slid on the tarmac and crashed. There were no injuries to bystanders.
