China on Sunday unveiled the latest batch of officially recognized memorial sites and heroes at a press conference marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
The fourth batch includes 34 memorial sites, 41 individual heroes and two heroic groups. Previous batches were released in 2014, 2015 and 2020, respectively.
Among China's 294 national-level memorial sites, six are located overseas. And China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Macao Special Administrative Region each have two designated historical sites.
Russia
Memorial facility for the martyrs of the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army Training Brigade and the Red Army's 2nd Far Eastern Front 88th Independent Infantry Brigade (certified in 2020)
