Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in the northern Chinese city of Tianjin on Saturday. Tokayev is in Tianjin to attend the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit, which is scheduled for August 31 to September 1. At their meeting, Xi said that the two sides should firmly support each other on issues concerning respective core interests and major concerns, consolidate and expand all-round cooperation, and bring China-Kazakhstan relations to new heights.
