The Main Eastern Battlefield: Japan's Atrocity on Film

03:54

In 1937, Nanjing fell to Japanese forces. Within six weeks, more than 300,000 civilians and unarmed soldiers were slaughtered in the Nanjing Massacre. American missionary John Magee captured the atrocities on film, evidence later presented at the Tokyo Trials. Among the few survivors was then 8-year-old Xia Shuqin. Now 96, she still bears witness to the murder of her family. Yet decades on, some politicians continue to whitewash this history. CGTN's feature "The Main Eastern Battlefield: China in WWII" confronts the truth.
