Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko is in China to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit 2025, as well as commemorations marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. 

Ahead of the SCO summit, CGTN correspondent Aljosa Milenkovic spoke with Belarus' Economy Minister Yuri Chebotar about the remarkable growth in trade between Minsk and Beijing. 

"Our mutual trade turnover has almost tripled. China is now our second-largest trading partner," Chebotar said.
