China's Wang Xinying claimed her maiden LPGA title at the FM Championship at TPC Boston, resisting a late surge from world number one Jeeno Thitikul to win by a stroke.

Ranked World No. 187, Wang carded a four‑round total of 20‑under‑par 268 (66‑67‑65‑70) to become the 11th first‑time winner in the 2025 LPGA season and the seventh rookie to taste victory this season.

Thitikul pushed hard over the weekend but had to settle for a one‑shot deficit, her tenth top‑10 and third runner‑up finish of the year.

Wang is the 24th different winner across 23 events on this season's LPGA circuit and only the third player from the Chinese mainland to lift an LPGA trophy, joining who won 10 and Yin Ruoning who owns five titles.
