Decorations for the 80th WWII Victory anniversary are nearly complete. Red, yellow and green floral displays brighten Tiananmen Square on Beijing's Central Axis. Two giant platforms, marked 1945 and 2025, rise like gates of history, built on motifs inspired by the Great Wall.
