Chinese Premier Li Qiang announced the start of the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against the Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War in Beijing on Wednesday.

After 80 gun salutes marked the 80th anniversary of the victory, a flag-raising ceremony was held at the Tian'anmen Square.
