Highly anticipated Strategic Strike Group inspected in V-Day parade

The highly anticipated Strategic Strike Group was inspected during the V-Day parade at Tian'anmen Square in Beijing on Wednesday. Cruise missiles, hypersonic missiles and nuclear missiles were displayed under the group.

China unveiled the CJ-20A, YJ-18C, and CJ-1000 cruise missiles in the parade to showcase long-range precise strike and multi-domain deterrence capabilities.

It is the first time the cruise missiles of the PLA Navy, Air Force and Rocket Force units formed a joint formation in a parade.

China's hypersonic missiles with all-weather combat capabilities – YJ-21, DF-17 and DF-26D – were showcased during the parade. 

The nuclear triad of the Strategic Strike Group included the JL-1 air-based long-range missile, the JL-3 submarine-launched intercontinental missile, the DF-61 land-based intercontinental missile and the new type DF-31BJ land-based intercontinental missile.

The weapons are China's strategic "ace" power to safeguard the country's sovereignty and the nation's dignity.

The country's liquid-fueled intercontinental strategic nuclear missiles, DF-5C, which have a global strike range, were also showcased during the parade.
