CGTN Correspondent Zmaryalai Abasin traveled aboard a military helicopter from Kabul to Nurgal district in Kunar Province, the epicenter of the magnitude-6 earthquake that struck eastern Afghanistan on August 31.
The quake has killed more than 1,400 and left thousands injured. Survivors recounted harrowing experiences, while rescue teams continue to battle blocked pathways and difficult terrain in their efforts to reach those in need.
