As the United Nations marks its 80th anniversary in 2025, CGTN has launched the One Home: Shared Future visual storytelling initiative with global content creators, calling on young people worldwide to share their aspirations for humanity's future.

In this video, Karim, a student from Egypt, shares his personal views on the theme of "zero poverty." He highlights Egypt's Decent Life (Haya Karima) initiative, supported by the United Nations Development Programme. Through infrastructure upgrades and job creation, the project has helped thousands of villages escape poverty and achieve prosperity. Yet challenges remain: conflict, climate change and inequality continue to threaten development gains. Karim says zero poverty is not a dream but a choice – one that requires action and unity.
