Meet A23A – once the largest, longest-lasting iceberg on Earth, now it's splintering into pieces, and losing its crown.

This trillion-tonne megaberg may not survive past November, scientists say. Some even warn of a sudden, avalanche-like collapse at sea.

The new biggest iceberg is D15A – almost twice the size of A23A. As the era of A23A comes to an end, the age of D15A begins.
