Fengfanxi is a well-known attraction within the Sayram Lake Scenic Area, the highest and largest alpine lake in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. By the lakeside stands the tallest rock in the area, which resembles a ship's sail and is widely known as the "Fengfan Stone" – fengfan meaning "sail" in Chinese. A small stream flows year-round from this spot into the lake, giving the area its name, "Fengfanxi." The waters here are crystal clear, with the sand and stones on the lakebed easily visible. Gentle breezes ripple across the surface, reflecting the surrounding mountains and waters to create a tranquil and vivid natural scene.
