CMG brings West China Hospital experts to Xide for free clinics

A medical outreach campaign titled "Lend a Hand, Build a Health Shield Together," was held in Xide County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China's Sichuan Province, from September 5 to 7. Organized by China Media Group's (CMG) Society and Education Program Center, the initiative featured a team of six leading cardiovascular experts from West China Hospital of Sichuan University, who provided free consultations and health education to residents.

The medical team visited Xide People's Hospital, schools, township governments and welfare centers, offering medical checkups, demonstrations and lectures covering the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Elderly residents with limited mobility were also able to receive quality doorstep medical care from specialists. In addition to clinical services, the team emphasized the importance of preventive health practices. 

Xide County has long been a beneficiary of CMG's targeted assistance programs. Building on last year's "Lend a Hand, Walk with Love" initiative, which provided household support facilities for 99 families, this year's campaign focused on improving grassroots-level medical services and health education.
