China's athletes demonstrated a potent blend of emerging talent and seasoned grit at the 2025 World Athletics Continental Tour in Beijing on Sunday, securing four wins across 14 events.

Youthful promise was on full display as Yan Ziyi soared to victory in the women's javelin with 64.46 meters. Meanwhile, Zhong Tao vaulted to a personal best of 5.75 meters to claim the pole vault crown, and Li Jialun's seasonal best leap of 2.20 meters earned him the men's high jump title.

Not to be outdone, Liang Tiantian clocked a personal best 8:57.65 to triumph in the women's 3,000 meters, underscoring China's growing prowess in middle-distance events.

The women's shot put saw Canada's Sarah Mitton, reigning World Athletics Indoor champion, assert her dominance with a winning mark of 19.81 meters. Sweden's Fanny Roos followed closely with 19.35 meters, while China's Zhang Linru secured third at 19.05 meters, adding another layer of competition to this fiercely contested event.

On the sprinting front, Oman's Ali Al-Balushi electrified the crowd with a personal best of 10.09 seconds to win the men's 100 meters, edging out American Brandon Hicklin by a mere 0.03 seconds. Canada's Andre De Grasse, a perennial contender, rounded out the podium in 10.16 seconds. China's veteran sprinter Xie Zhenye posted a season-best 10.21 seconds, finishing just off the podium in fourth.
