On September 3, the Chinese Air Force made a notable appearance at the commemoration marking the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. According to data from the Nanjing Memorial Hall for Anti-Japanese Aviation Martyrs, during the war, they flew 21,597 sorties and shot down and destroyed 1,456 enemy aircraft. The air force suffered 6,164 fatalities, with 7,897 wounded and 2,468 aircraft lost.
