Under the bright sun, sheep graze quietly, their neck bells chiming as they wander the fields. But this isn't your typical farm. Above them stretches an ocean of solar panels, glittering as far as the eye can see.

This is one of China's largest renewable energy projects, set high in the mountains of Nileke in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Covering an area slightly larger than Paris, the project, once complete, is expected to generate enough wind and solar energy to power every household in Singapore for an entire year.

CGTN's Nadim Diab visited the site to see how Xinjiang is helping fuel China's green future.
