The China Arms Control and Disarmament Association and the China Institute of Nuclear Industry Strategy jointly released the research report "Negative Security Assurance: From Political Commitment to an International Legally Binding Instrument" in Beijing on September 10. The report reviews the current status regarding security assurances for non-nuclear-weapon states, policy positions and challenges, and offers recommendations for advancing negotiations on an international legal instrument. Scholars also said the report reflects the academic community's commitment to implementing the global security initiative and the global governance initiative.
