A wave of heavy bombardments by the Israeli army in recent days has destroyed residential towers and tents sheltering the displaced, leaving around 550 families, some 7,600 people, homeless, according to the Palestinian Civil Defense in Gaza.
A CGTN reporter visited the Teba Tower in the western Gaza Strip, one of the residential buildings bombed on September 10, where at least 17 people were killed. The strike came as part of Israel's ongoing military operations, which have targeted numerous high-rise buildings in Gaza City.
The collapsed tower was surrounded by thousands of tents belonging to displaced families. "My tent has been torn apart. What am I supposed to do now?" Alfet al-Jamal, a displaced Palestinian, told CGTN.
