China defeated India 4-1 to claim their second straight win in the Super 4 stage of the Women's Hockey Asia Cup in Hangzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province, on Thursday.

China broke the deadlock in the fourth minute on a follow-up shot by Zou Meirong. India tried to strengthen their attack in the second half, but failed to capitalize on possession opportunities, finding their opponents in more clinical defensive form.

Chen Yang made it 2-0 for the hosts before Khan Mumtaz pulled one back for India in the 38th minute. China remained in control the fourth quarter, with Tan Jitong restoring a two-goal advantage for the event hosts in the 48th minute.

Eight minutes later, Li Hong broke through the Indian side's defense and set up Zou for her 10th goal of the tournament, closing out the 4-1 win for China. They will meet South Korea next, while India face Japan, with both games taking place on Saturday.
