As part of the Legislators Forum for Friendly Exchanges, 28 parliamentarians from across Asia and Europe paid a visit to Ili in China's Xinjiang. The delegation experienced local culture in the Kazanqi Folk Tourism District and Liuxing Street, shared heartfelt moments with a Kazakh family under grapevine trellises and explored an accordion museum and a Russian-style cultural street.
Cosmin-Ioan Corendea, Vice President of the Committee for Foreign Policy at the Chamber of Deputies of the Romanian Parliament, expressed that Xinjiang left him with a wonderfully familiar feeling. He said that this sense of cross-cultural connection truly captures the beauty of multiculturalism.
