Russia launches MS-32 cargo ship to resupply ISS

Russia's Progress MS-32 cargo spacecraft, launched from Baikonur Cosmodrome to the International Space Station (ISS), has entered the designated orbit, the Russian state space corporation Roscosmos said on Thursday.

"The spacecraft's insertion into the designated orbit, its separation from the rocket's third stage, and the deployment of antennas and solar panels proceeded as planned," Roscosmos said in a statement.

The cargo ship is expected to dock with the Zvezda module of the Russian segment of the ISS on Saturday at 8:27 p.m. Moscow time (1727 GMT).

It will deliver over 2.5 tonnes of cargo to the ISS, including drinking water, fuel for the ISS, air to replenish the ISS atmosphere, and scientific equipment, according to Roscosmos.
