Wuhan's waterfront lit up on September 12 with the grand opening of the 2025 Yangtze River Cultural and Arts Season. Songs, dance, opera and instrumental pieces were paired with fireworks and a drone light show, transforming the riverside into a three-dimensional stage stretching from the banks to the sky. 3D visuals brought yaks, pandas and deer to life, while the "Digital Chime Bells" recreated ancient music using modern technology alongside folk and symphonic instruments. Highlights also included a hip-hop twist on the folk classic Dragon Boat Tune and cross-cultural performances with artists from Egypt, Indonesia, Russia and Canada. The arts season runs through October with 12 major features, from art and photography exhibitions to stage plays. Online events, live streams and influencer meet-ups are expected to expand its reach worldwide.
