In July 2006, four unarmed UN peacekeepers were killed in southern Lebanon, including Canadian Major Paeta Hess-von Kruedener. His widow Cynthia Wadsworth recalls their final phone call: through the static, she told him, "I love you." Fifteen minutes later, the post was bombed.
