About 300,000 people have fled Gaza City as Israel intensified strikes, Israel's Army Radio reported on Sunday, citing security officials.
The strikes destroyed at least three multi-story buildings in Gaza City, including one belonging to the Islamic University, where displaced people were sheltering.
The Israeli military claimed that Hamas used the buildings for intelligence gathering and surveillance.
