Serbian Vice President Edin Djerlek hails Xinjiang as key Belt & Road bridge

Amid the vibrant setting of the 2025 Legislators Forum for Friendly Exchanges in Xinjiang, Edin Djerlek, vice president of Serbia’s National Assembly and deputy president of the Justice and Reconciliation Party, shared his insights as one of the event’s highest-ranking delegates. Following a keynote address and a special visit to Ili with fellow international lawmakers, he offered a powerful testimony of his experience.

During his tour of Xinjiang’s factories and enterprises, Djerlek witnessed firsthand the region’s remarkable strides in high-quality development. He praised not only Xinjiang’s economic vitality but also its role as a crucial bridge in the Belt and Road Initiative, linking Serbia and China with broader Central and Eastern European cooperation.
