In this meeting, which focused on TikTok and other issues of concerns to China, the two sides held candid and in-depth exchanges and reached a basic framework consensus on properly resolving relevant issues concerning TikTok through cooperation, on reducing barriers to investment, and on promoting relevant trade and economic cooperation, said Li Chenggang, China's international trade representative with the Ministry of Commerce and vice minister of commerce. Li made the remarks at a press briefing following economic and trade talks with the U.S. in Madrid, Spain.
