During her residency in Jingdezhen City, Jiangxi Province, Lebanese ceramicist Samar Mougharbel, also a member of the International Academy of Ceramics, UNESCO, created a series of works using Jingdezhen ceramics. Mougharbel believes that our five senses, while able to perceive the world, are limited by time and space. Therefore, she aims to transcend these boundaries through the use of fired clay – a material that, once shaped, becomes eternal, carrying our stories long after we are gone.
