Many of the finest Hotan jades in Xinjiang are found mainly in the Kunlun Mountains. Some legendary mines have been worked continuously since the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Today, we're heading up 4,000 meters into the Kunlun mountain range to explore where history, culture and nature come together in the heart of China's jade capital.
