Located in east China's Jiangxi Province, China's largest freshwater lake – Poyang Lake – has seen water levels steadily fall due to recent high temperatures and low rainfall, exposing vast shoals and wetlands. In the Duchang waters of the lake, tens of thousands of egrets have gathered to rest and feed, offering a wonderful natural spectacle.
