A bell-ringing ceremony was held at the September 18 Incident History Museum in northeast China's Shenyang City, attended by about 1,000 people. A bell was struck 14 times to symbolize 14 years of resistance against Japanese aggression. At 09:18, air raid sirens sounded across Liaoning Province, urging people to remember history and cherish peace. The 1931 incident marked Japan's invasion of China, making the country the first to oppose fascism and suffer 35 million casualties during World War II.
