Fengfanxi is a well-known attraction in the Sayram Lake Scenic Area, home to the highest and largest alpine lake in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. By the lakeside stands the tallest rock in the area, resembling a ship's sail and widely known as the "Fengfan Stone", fengfan means "sail" in Chinese. A small stream flows year-round from this spot into the lake, giving it the name "Fengfanxi". Its waters are crystal clear, with the sand and stones on the lakebed easily visible. As a gentle breeze ripples across the surface, the lake reflects the surrounding mountains, creating a tranquil and vivid natural scene.
