Over the past decade, China has evolved from a participant to a leader in global governance. In early September, China introduced the Global Governance Initiative at the SCO summit in Tianjin. The initiative advocates for the creation of a more just and equitable global governance system. But why is China's approach gaining increasing support from countries around the world?
