Dai Bin, President of the China Tourism Academy, highlighted the need for deeper collaboration among Belt and Road partner countries – particularly in Central Asia, home to some of the world's richest cultural heritage – during an interview with CGTN at the 8th Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Cultural Expo.
He noted that with a large population base and a rapidly expanding inbound and outbound tourism market, there is a pressing need to enhance research and data sharing in regional tourism. Dai also highlighted the value of fostering exchanges and cooperation among industry players, while strengthening communication between academia, research institutions and government think tanks.
Above all, he called for greater goodwill among all partners to ensure lasting and meaningful cooperation.
