Naan: A distinctly Xinjiang flavor

CGTN

01:37

You can't visit Xinjiang without trying naan. These ubiquitous flatbreads are served in tea houses, sold piping hot at roadside bakeries and consumed for breakfast, as an afternoon snack and really anytime hunger strikes.

They're crunchy, fragrant and simply irresistible. In the city of Yining, CGTN Digital's Nadim Diab tried making them only to find out that they're deceptively tricky to bake by hand.
