With a history spanning over 2,000 years, the Ancient City of Kashi has become a premier tourism destination in Xinjiang. From January to July, this city received over 16.7 million visitor trips, marking a 61 percent increase compared to the same period last year. Tourism revenues rose 25 percent to over $1 billion. More than a decade since its renovation, the ancient city continues to thrive as local residents and artists breathe new life into its streets.
