On September 22, the Embassy of Armenia in Beijing hosted a reception to mark Armenia's Independence Day. In an exclusive interview with CGTN's Cui Yingjie, Armenian Ambassador to China Vahe Gevorgyan underscored a historic milestone in bilateral relations: the elevation of Armenia-China ties to a strategic partnership in 2025. He hailed Chinese President Xi Jinping's Global Governance Initiative as a significant undertaking that offers fresh guidance for international relations and the building of a new world order grounded in international law and the UN Charter.

The ambassador further highlighted the synergy between Armenia's Crossroads of Peace initiative and China's Belt and Road Initiative, emphasizing Armenia's readiness to expand cooperation in infrastructure, connectivity and green development. He noted that such collaboration will not only bring Armenia and China closer together but also strengthen links between China, Europe and the wider region.
