2025 marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Home to diverse ethnic groups including Uygur, Kazakh and Kirgiz, the region thrives as people of all backgrounds walk hand in hand, writing a vivid chapter of shared happiness.
Among them is Rizaydin Rehemjiang, from Ili, Xinjiang, a student majoring in Resource Exploration Engineering at Central South University. In 2023, inspired by a video of a bionic quadruped robot, he envisioned using robots to replace manual labor to ensure miners' safety. He brought together a nine-member entrepreneurial team of peers from Xinjiang, Fujian, Hubei and Hong Kong SAR, China. Their research has since won multiple awards. Rizaydin said he felt incredibly fortunate to work with young people from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities, combining technology and innovation to safeguard lives while to contributing to their hometown.
