On September 1, 2025, Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed the Global Governance Initiative (GGI) at the "Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Plus" Meeting held in Tianjin. In this video, Tieu Thanh, a young Vietnamese, highlights the "people-centered approach" from the perspective of climate governance. "In climate governance, if people's needs are not placed at the center, we may easily overlook the difficulties faced by certain groups during emissions reduction or the costs borne by ordinary households in the transition to clean energy," she said.
