The China Open started with a spectacular opening ceremony at the National Tennis Center in Beijing, featuring Olympic champion Zheng Qinwen and Chinese tennis icons.

As the roof of the Diamond Court gradually opened, the 2004 Athens Olympics women's doubles champions Li Ting and Sun Tiantian, along with Grand Slam doubles champions Zheng Jie and Yan Zi, inaugurated the ceremony with a historic game.

They were followed by Zhang Shuai, Wang Xinyu, Buyunchaokete, and Shang Juncheng, with the four active Chinese players participating in a mixed doubles match.

2024 Paris Olympics women's singles champion Zheng Qinwen then joined a group of young players on center court. The ceremony concluded as all players officially returned to the court to open the tournament.
