Zhou Meng, dean of the School of Oceanography at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, has taken part in 15 Antarctic expeditions. Leading a multinational team to the Ross Sea, he works with scientists from the U.S. and UK to study krill, ice algae and carbon storage, contributing polar conservation and climate solutions through global cooperation and a shared future for humanity.
