During the morning rush hour on September 13 at Xinlucun Station on Wuhan Metro Line 7, a university student suddenly collapsed due to cardiac arrest. Metro staff and a police officer worked together with passengers in a tense 17-minute rescue effort, performing CPR and using a defibrillator. After two shocks, the student regained a weak pulse. The actions of all involved bought critical time, and the student is now recovering in hospital.
