Preparations are well underway for the 2025 China International Emergency Management Expo, with an international promotion coordination meeting held in Beijing on Thursday to gather global partners and industry leaders.

The expo will be held in Beijing from November 18 to 20, with over 300 domestic and international exhibitors already confirmed to participate.

The expo will include six dedicated zones covering around 40,000 square meters.

Zhang Xiaoning, director general of the International Exchange and Cooperation Center of the Chinese Ministry of Emergency Management (MEM), said that the event has a "strong focus on enhancing China's emergency management capabilities and equipment readiness."

Thursday's meeting emphasized strengthening the expo's role as a global platform for connecting supply and demand, supporting Chinese companies in expanding their overseas markets, and promoting the high-quality development of the international safety and emergency industry.

The meeting was attended by officials from MEM and diplomats from Vietnam, Egypt, Nicaragua, Armenia, and other countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative. Nearly 40 leading manufacturers of emergency management equipment from China and abroad were present.

Nicaragua's ambassador to China, Ramiro Cruz, said that his country approaches this dialogue with great seriousness because emergency management is "not merely a technical issue" in Nicaragua. As a nation constantly facing multiple hazards, Nicaragua's geographic location exposes its residents to hurricanes and tropical storms from the Caribbean.

It is a matter of sovereignty, human dignity, and national survival," Cruz added.
