China's Ministry of Commerce announced on Thursday that three U.S. entities have been added to its export control list, effective immediately. The listed entities are Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc., Planate Management Group, and Global Dimensions LLC.
The move was taken to protect national security and interests, as well as to meet international obligations, including non-proliferation, a spokesperson for the ministry stated.
In accordance with relevant provisions of China's Export Control Law and the regulations on export control of dual-use items, China has decided to list the three U.S. entities that endanger China's national security and interests in the export control list, the spokesperson said.
The spokesperson stated that exports of dual-use items to these three companies are prohibited, and no exporter may violate these restrictions.
