00:24

Guangdong Province in south China is recovering after Typhoon Ragasa made landfall in Yangjiang City on Wednesday, bringing severe flooding and widespread damage.

Ragasa, the 18th named storm of the 2025 Pacific typhoon season, made landfall at around 5 p.m. on the coast of Yangjiang City, according to the National Meteorological Center.

Meanwhile, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has activated emergency response as the storm continues its westward path. Authorities have called fishing vessels back to shore, suspended offshore operations and transportation, and instructed local departments to implement typhoon prevention measures.
