"China welcomes like-minded partners to take part in BRICS cooperation and jointly promote the development of a more just and reasonable international order," Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun said at a press briefing on Friday.

Guo made the remarks in response to potential Palestinian participation in BRICS. He highlighted the role of BRICS as a key platform for cooperation among developing countries and emerging markets.

Guo noted that BRICS has provided strong impetus to advancing multipolarity and greater democracy in international relations, and has gained broad recognition from countries across the Global South.
