There will be three mascots for the 2026 FIFA World Cup: a bald eagle called Clutch for the U.S., a jaguar named Zayu in Mexico and a moose who goes by Maple in Canada.
FIFA made its announcement in a news release on Thursday, less than nine months before the June 11th opener of the tournament, the first World Cup to be played in three countries.
At the 194 World Cup in the US, the mascot was a dog named Striker that was chosen from more than 25,000 entries.
