In recent years, China has contributed approximately 25 percent of the world's newly added greened area, with over half of this coming from afforestation and grass planting in the Three-North Region.
The Three-North Shelterbelt Project – a large-scale ecological initiative spanning more than seven decades – has been pivotal to this progress.
