Marking the 70th anniversary of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China released a white paper on the success of its governance strategy in Xinjiang. Xia Lu, deputy dean of the School of Marxism Studies at Xinjiang University, said the region's transformation rests on two pillars: social stability and long-term peace. He stressed that poverty alleviation and initiatives like aid-funded industrial parks have boosted jobs, strengthened social order, and laid the foundation for prosperity.
